If you’ve been watching the new Channel 5 series, ‘Council House Swap’, you may have noticed some of the residents using HomeSwapper to swap their homes – not surprising when we’re the biggest mutual exchange service in the UK!
The series gives an honest view of the journey to finding a swap – it shows the hard work and persistence from the swappers involved, as well as the compromises that may be needed along the way.
That’s not to say that you can’t find the swap you’re looking for. Every year on HomeSwapper, more than 20,000 swaps are found – that’s one swap every 30 minutes! When someone finds a swap and closes their account on HomeSwapper, we always ask them about their experience. The work that goes into a swap is something that we’ve heard about from many of those that have been successful.
Swapping involves being active on the platform, making sure you’re chatting with other swappers and setting up viewings. Here’s what a couple of swappers told us:
